Borland Delphi
Using the MIDAS development components, we can create any application server and thus upgrade a standard client-server application to a three-layer architecture. The new components give us direct access to the database server (the obsolete BDE is no more needed). The client application in Delphi meets the requirements of speed and stability of the system.
SilverStream
SilverStream is a pure application server in an already established three-layer architecture. The logic is implemented using Java. Its client can be any HTML browser supporting JavaScript (if it is used). SilverStream provides a safe connection between the client and the application server via the HTTPS standard.
